DSSG’s motivational speaker is John Pantalone, a former hemodialysis patient and current transplant recipient. Due to his past experience with family members on dialysis, he is acutely aware of the problems and challenges of the renal patient. This knowledge enabled him to navigate this type of life support system very successfully.

While on dialysis, he was asked by his nephrologist to share his techniques for home health care with other patients. John packaged a program entitled “Hemodialysis, The Patients Perspective”.

Because of his on-the-job experience in communications, marketing and entertainment, John presented a seminar to the patients in his unit with typical humor and positive attitude.

Now, using a variety of tools and visual aids, he shares his insights and techniques with his audience. “I volunteer my services to DSSG not only in an effort to give back to the system that has returned to me my good health but also as a tribute to the many anonymous organ donors we have throughout the state of New Jersey.”
