WHAT IS DSSG?

- The Dialysis Seminar & Support Group of New Jersey, Inc. (DSSG) is a 501c(3) non-profit service organization that can be utilized by dialysis facilities as an essential tool for ongoing patient education.

- DSSG brings its seminars directly to the patients at their own dialysis center.

- Presentations stress better home healthcare in an effort to facilitate an easier dialysis treatment.

- These workshops create the venue be which our motivation and entertainment skills are combined with the medical talents of the dialysis centers' resident staff to create a comfort zone atmosphere conducive to patient education.

- Patients are shown specific hints, tips and techniques they can utilize at home

- Patients' participation is encouraged. They understand and remember by hearing, seeing, and doing.

- The dialysis unit's own nephrologist, dietitian and social participate in a question and answer session.

- Our seminars leave the patients with an improved sense of well-being and enhanced self esteem.
